There are even some free stuff.
Apex Legends is celebrating its second anniversary this month and, along with releasing information about the early stages of the game’s development, Respawn is also introducing a birthday collection event for the game.
To celebrate the anniversary, players will be able to win 22 items, “including two event packages and ten apex packages”. Players will also receive five rewards for logging in for the first time, although what exactly they are remains a mystery.
The event is also bringing back 24 skins that already appeared in the game, with a touch of red and gold paint. Unlocking all of this will yield players 150 inheritance fragments – although, judging from previous collection events, this can be quite expensive.

A new playlist called Locked and Loaded is also being introduced, in which players land with a complete set of level one equipment (including a Mozambican). All other white equipment has been removed from the loot pile, so you should be able to update your equipment quickly. Which is good, because nobody wants to keep Mozambique for a long time.
The anniversary event runs from 9 to 23 February and coincides with Season 8 – which started on Tuesday and introduced explosives expert Fuse.
