Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized the rep. Republican Nancy Mace, a first year of the Republican Party, as a scammer made of the same cloth as former President Trump for raising funds with the New York Democrat’s “false” experience with the January 6 Capitol rebellion.
Ocasio-Cortez was reacting to a tweet from a CNN reporter that Mace was requesting fundraising for his “false hint” that Ocasio-Cortez was lying about how close the protesters came to their nearby offices.
“Very awful,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Saturday in response. “Well, it’s good to know what kind of person she is from an early age. It’s also good to know that Mace is made of the same cloth as Trump of dishonesty and opportunism.”
Ocasio-Cortez said it is “sad to see a colleague intentionally hurt other women and survivors to make money. I thought she would be better off.”
The liberal arsonist then accused Mace of trying to “deceive workers” by campaign donations while still courting corporate PAC money. “Peak of the art of the coup”, wrote Ocasio-Cortez.
Mace, RS.C., and Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., were in a fight on social media all week after Mace challenged Ocasio-Cortez’s recollection of what happened on January 6, when a pro crowd -Trump invaded the Capitol.

After Ocasio-Cortez said in a video last month that she “had a very close encounter in which I thought I was going to die,” Mace and others questioned her, noting that the rebels never entered her building. In an interview with Fox News Radio’s “Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla”, Mace accused her of exaggerating what happened for political gain.
Mace said his office is “two doors down @aoc and no rebels have invaded our corridor”, Mace tweeted about the Casa Cannon office building that is connected to the Capitol.

Ocasio-Cortez countered that she never said the rebels were in her corridor and pointed out that Mace herself told a newspaper that she had locked herself in her office during the attack.

Ocasio-Cortez, who recently revealed to be a sexual assault survivor, accused Mace of minimizing the experience of “survivors” who may not share their stories out of shame at being trivialized.
Mace replied that Ocasio-Cortez need only “stop” because “you don’t know my story”.
While legislator of the state of South Carolina, Mace revealed she was raped at 16 while she urged her colleagues to make an exception for rape survivors when they were debating a bill on fetal heartbeat.
In Mace’s fundraising email to supporters, she doubled that Ocasio-Cortez was embellishing the level of danger she faced on January 6. “[U]Unlike AOC, I deal with facts, not fiction “, said the e-mail when asking for donations to” face AOC “.

Ocasio-Cortez was criticized for tweeting that Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, “almost murdered me” during the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.
Congressman Chip Roy, R-Texas, wrote to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi last week asking her to force Ocasio-Cortez to withdraw his “obscene accusation”.
Ocasio-Cortez did not back down, and on Thursday she organized a special session on the House floor for Democratic lawmakers to give emotional testimony about what it was like to experience the Capitol siege on January 6 to draw attention to “trauma survivors”.
