Anthony Hopkins is grateful to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
The Oscar-winning actor, who celebrated his 83rd birthday last month, shared a video on Friday showing him receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
In the video, Hopkins wears a face shield and a face mask, receiving his photo while sitting in a car.
“THANKS🙏🏻” he wrote next to the short clip, starting to give a shout to the CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, as well as his “dear friend, Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa”.
“Light at the end of the tunnel (after a year of self-imposed quarantine),” he added.

While spending time at home last year, the actor kept busy with his social media posts, signing up for TikTok and sharing several videos with his beloved pet cat, Niblo.
“Niblo is making sure that I stay healthy and demands that I entertain him in return … ed cats,” he wrote in a post, in which the cat sat on his lap while playing the piano.
In another cheerful video, Hopkins wished his followers a “beautiful day” on behalf of him and his cat – who made a brief cameo before jumping off the screen.
“This is my friend Niblo, saying good morning to everyone – oh, he was bored!” Hopkins said with a laugh, captioning the post, “Niblo wishes everyone a beautiful day …”

Opening up on his social media accounts last year, Hopkins told People he wants to “have a good laugh” with his fans.
“People seem to respond to my strange sense of humor,” he said. “Because that’s all we can do – let’s try to have a good laugh. Let’s try to keep our spirits up.”
“I try to communicate with people by saying, you know, let’s try and have fun, and have fun. Just have fun, ”he added. “My life has been blessed, you know, but people really do suffer, and I know people who are very lonely. And I wish I could do more, but I do the best I can. That’s my purpose on social media, just to send a message, say ‘Hey’. “
