Davis hobbles alone
Davis suffered the injury while driving towards the basket, passing the Nuggets center’s Nikola Jokic. He grimaced when he planted his right leg and limped after being knocked down by Jokić in the play. He bent down to grab his right ankle, but was able to stay in the game momentarily to make free throws.
The Lakers then fouled to allow Davis to leave the game with 2:36 left in the first half. He walked cautiously to the locker room alone.
Davis lost time last week with Achilles disease
Davis lost two games last week after being diagnosed with right Achilles tendonosis, a chronic tendon disease. Domingo scored his second game back from injury.
Davis, an All-Star seven times, averages 22.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.9 blocks, while shooting 53.5 percent of the field.
