Ant-Man is the latest Marvel superhero to join Fortnite

Ant-Man is the last Marvel superhero to arrive in Fortnite, and the provocations that preceded his arrival were a little hilarious. The Fortnite team has announced that Ant-Man will arrive at the Item Shop next to the Pickaxe and the Ant-Tonio’s trusted steed, Ant-Tonio, as Back Bling.

While Ant-Man’s entry into Fortnite is a wonderful thing in itself, the provocations that led to its official announcement were just as good. Fortnite Twitter shared three different images of the little Ant-Man in other Marvel characters, including Cable, Blade and Captain America. You can see all the images in the slide show below.

Ant-Man is the latest Marvel superhero to join Fortnite, and the latest pop culture crossover character since Ripley and the Alien franchise Xenomorph.

This addition is certainly welcome for Ant-Man fans, who will have to wait until 2022 to see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Peña are all returning to the third Ant-Man film, with Peyton Reed once again directing.

Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors has been reported to have been cast as an important villain, and his sources say he will play Kang the Conqueror.
