Ant Anstead exposed his true feelings about his separation from his wife Christina Anstead.

The 41-year-old host of the Wheelers Dealers said the break with the 37-year-old Flip or Flop star “hit me hard” in a new interview with People.

“I think everyone knows it wasn’t my decision,” said the father of three.

Anstead also admitted that he “had a lot of love” for his second wife, with whom he shares his one-year-old son, Hudson.

The English television presenter had already suggested that the decision to split was not mutual, when in September he wrote on Instagram that he was ‘waiting’ for a meeting.

‘I never gave up on us. I pray that Christina’s decision will bring her happiness, ‘wrote Ant below a black and white photo of the couple.

Ant revealed in October that he attended a five-week ‘Breakup Recovery’ course, which he claims to help people design life and love [they’ve] yearned. ‘

He recently told People that he is feeling himself again after being in ‘a very dark place’ in the middle of the breakup: ‘Every day is an improvement. Obviously, going back a few months, I mean, it was a huge success.

The Wheeler Dealers host added: ‘It really hit me a lot. The impact on me, my sleep, my diet, my stress, it showed.

‘But I have reached a turning point where I would either live in the dark or just slap myself a few times and say, “Wake up; you are incredibly blessed. Focus on all the good things.”‘

Meanwhile, his ex-wife welcomed a new addition to his family.

Christina showed off the cutest new member of her litter on Monday, introducing her Rottweiler puppy, Biggie, to her 1.5 million followers on Instagram with some cute photos and videos.

The real estate investor put the caption in the post: ‘Too cute not to share. Meet the newest member of our family – Biggie. We are all obsessed and in love. ‘

She posted a lovely photo on her Instagram Story of daughter Taylor, 10, who she shares with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, 39, holding her new fur baby.

Another poignant photo shows her youngest son, Hudson, one, whom she shares with Ant, 41, walking like a pro in her backyard, while Biggie sniffed his hand.

Christina also posted a clip of Biggie meeting her French bulldog Cash, who was circling around her new friend, which she captioned: ‘Zoomies’.

She met Biggie’s father, ‘Big Daddy Nitro’, holding him on a leash with the breeder in Riverside, California.

It happened after the celebrity real estate investor announced their separation from Ant in September, after they married in December 2018.

She told People at the time: ‘Ant and I made the difficult decision to split up. We are grateful for each other and, as always, our children will continue to be our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family while sailing in the future. ‘

Christina later filed for divorce in November, after a source told People that she was ‘alone and unhappy’, adding: ‘After the baby, they started having conflicts.’
