After the more or less Crusader Kings effort, another strategy title from Paradox –Stellarisis on its way to board games after successfully meeting your Kickstarter funding goal.

Not that the goal has been questioned – for a large Kickstarter board game it rarely is – but still, at the time of publication, almost 6,000 people supported it / ordered a copy for about $ 940,000 in total funding.

Stellaris the video game is an extensive 4X case in which you try to build a huge space empire and are responsible for everything from building things on planets to diplomacy, research and deciding which weapons to place on your spaceships.

The board game … is very similar! What I like about him especially is that he has simultaneous planning, which means that a lot of the dead time “I’m still thinking, give me a minute” has been removed. Also cool: each game lasts about two hours, but you can expand and continue your civilization over several sessions, dropping further into the research trees as you progress.
