Anker takes on AirPods Pro with the $ 130 Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro

Like some of its previous models, Liberty Air 2 Pro works with Anker’s HearID 2.0 within the Soundcore app. This feature uses a quick hearing test to adapt the sound to your ears. With the latest version of the software, the company allows you to adjust the equalization settings instead of just having to settle for one of the audio presets. Anker says the headphones have six different microphones to reduce noise and optimize your voice when you’re on a call. Many companies promise great things for the quality of calls, but ultimately they don’t deliver, so we will have to test this during a review to see if the complaints are sustained.

The company promises six hours of battery life on the buttons with ANC on. Disable noise cancellation and you will have an extra hour of use. Considering the included charging case, you have a total of 21 hours with ANC enabled and 26 with it disabled. What’s more, the case supports Qi wireless charging and Anker’s fast charging technology offers two hours of music in ten minutes. A waterproof IPX4 rating means you will have no problem wearing them during a workout and nine sets of silicone ear tips should help you find a comfortable fit.

The Liberty Air 2 Pro will be available today in black, white, blue and pink for $ 130. For now, you can get them from Amazon, Best Buy and the Soundcore website – more widely available soon. Headphones cost £ 130 in the UK, € 130 in Europe and $ 170 (CAD) in Canada.
