Apple iPhone 12 MagSafe Technology not only makes loading easier, it also allows functional accessories that can be magnetically adjusted for smartphones without using a case. The most anticipated of them is a portable charger, and it looks like Anker is going take one out the door before Apple does.

ONE some days ago, Bloomberg quoted anonymous sources in a report who claimed that Apple was working on an update of its smart battery cases that ends the case entirely. Instead securely connects directly to the back of an iPhone 12 using MagSafe magnets, while providing a charge using wireless induction technology.

Why it took so long to realize an accessory that seemed like an obvious thing to launch along with the new iPhone 12 line when it was unveiled last year is unknown, but Apple has a history of being overly cautious about energy-related accessories – see recalls of power adapters, replacements of batteries in smartphones and laptops and, more recently, canceling the AirPower charging mat for multiple devices he had previously announced at an event.

Whatever the reasons why Apple may not have a MagSafe battery already available, it may be debatable, because from March 3rd, Anker will start shipping its own. The Power Bank Magnetic 5K Wireless Anker PowerCore has a 5,000 mAh battery, Although it is bigger than the batteries of the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and even the iPhone 12 Pro Max, wireless charging is not as efficient as charging with cable. ONEa result, Anker says its new magnetic energy bank can only charge the iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max at 95%, 97% and 75% of its maximum capacities, respectively. It can, however, fully recharge a dead iPhone 12 mini, with some energy to spare.

The Power Bank Magnetic 5K Wireless Anker PowerCore can only be charged using a USB-C cable. It doesn’t look like you can put it on a wireless charging cradle to complete, and because it is not an officially certified MagSafe accessory (it is only listed as MagSafe compatible) that can charge at speeds up to 15 watts, Anker’s magnetic power bank is limited to 7.5 watts. It is a small disadvantage, but it is still a disadvantage.

If Apple launches its own MagSafe battery, it will undoubtedly support the fastest MagSafe charging speeds, but as with all Apple accessories, it probably won’t be cheap. Despite the limited charging speed (roughly equivalent to the charging speed of the tiny power adapters that Apple used to include in their phones), the Power Bank Magnetic 5K Wireless from Anker PowerCore will be available for just $ 40 when shipped next week. This can be the most compelling reason for not waiting for Apple.
