Animal Crossing Valentine’s Day shows villagers giving you gifts

Valentine’s Day is here in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

It is the time to love in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Just out of the Lunar New Year festivities and just before the famous Festivale, Animal Crossing: New Horizons celebrates Valentine’s Day. Although the game does not make great music and dance about the event (Isabelle he didn’t even tell me it was Valentine’s Day at his morning briefing) there are a few things players should be sure to do today.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Valentine’s Day Items

For players looking to collect as many different items and pieces of furniture as possible, Valentine’s Day offers some unique things to buy for their collections. Players can pick up the seasonal items of chocolate hearts and heart-shaped bouquet in the game. They have been available since the beginning of this month and leave the store today, so if you haven’t already bought them, time is running out.

Animal Crossing: Valentine’s Day gifts from New Horizons

One of the biggest surprises of the day for me was how full my mailbox was. When I loaded the game on Sunday morning, I expected the usual Happy Home Academy score and maybe a strange letter or two. I didn’t expect to be inundated with gifts from all of my favorite villagers.

In total, I received seven letters from villagers and one from Isabelle, each with a nice note and a gift attached. These seem to be the villagers with whom I spent the most time building my levels of friendship. Unfortunately, there was nothing special about the items, just a bunch of chocolate hearts and heart-shaped bouquets, but it’s the thought that counts!

What’s next in New Horizons?

Festivale starts tomorrow! Pavé, the party peacock, arrives at the players’ island for the sole purpose of spreading joy. Players can purchase a selection of reactions and Festivale items from the Nook store and collect feathers in exchange for dance moves with Pavé. Then a lot of Super Mario thematic items will reach Animal Crossing: New Horizons in March.
