Target’s exclusive six-pack of Animal Crossing: New Horizons Sanrio Amiibo cards went on sale this morning at 9 am and sold out almost immediately. Moments later, the six-dollar packs started appearing on eBay for over $ 100. Is anyone surprised?

Despite the fact that Target restricts online orders for collection in the store and limits sales to two per customer, the usual absurdity has happened. Customers place packages in their carts online only to be informed that they are no longer in stock when they check out. Some Twitter users have reported successful purchases made after many minutes of updating. Many successful buyers turned around and immediately put their purchased packages up for sale at a high price. The whole case made many people very sad.

However, there is good news. The cards, each unlocking a new one Hey babe– themed villagers and items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, are actually reprints of cards launched in 2016. This means that the market for pirated Amiibo cards on sites like Etsy is full, let’s call them DIYers, who sell functional tokens that unlock the same content for low, low prices. Anticipating this morning’s parade, I placed an order a few weeks ago and received a nice little set that works very well and even came with bonus stickers.

Then that’s it. Gamestop is also selling the Repeating action powers, a device capable of recording Amiibo data in NFC tags (which are very cheap themselves) for just $ 15. I ordered one of these this morning too, just to try it out. I mean, it can’t be bad if they sell it on Gamestop, right?

On top of that, I heard from friends that while online ordering was limited, many Target stores in your area are also selling card packs on store shelves today, so you can still be lucky. And if you’re not lucky, be complicated. Just don’t give money to money changers who use bots. They shouldn’t be paid for being stupid.
