Animal Crossing: New Horizons is adding seasonal Japanese Setsubun items

Yesterday, Nintendo announced a new update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will arrive this week on January 28th.

In addition to Festivale, new reactions and new clothes, there will also be a series of seasonal events. First, it is the Japanese tradition of Setsubun. To celebrate this occasion, a Bean Throwing Kit will be available until February 3rd. There will also be an Oni (Orge) costume at the Able Sisters starting on February 1st.

This same event was previously available in Animal Crossing: New Leaf in the 3DS. It seems that now you can also throw beans inside the residents’ houses. Learn more about the next big update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in our previous post.
