And Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is No. 2. Again.
Another week, another triumph for Nintendo on the UK charts.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is again No. 1 for the fourth time this year, despite a 13% drop in sales. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe remains in 2nd place for the second consecutive week, with a 1% drop in sales.
It was almost one of Nintendo’s top three, but Ring Fit Adventure lost third place by just 52 units. Sales of the fitness game increased 34% in the week, but failed to bring down Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which remained despite an 8% drop in sales.
The only significant new box game to be released this year (so far) is Hitman 3, and that game is now at No.17 with a 54% drop in sales week by week.
There was a new game on the charts, and this is Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthbound at No.36. The game was published by Maximum Games in the UK.
It’s a pretty quiet start to the gaming market, but there’s a significant new game coming this week in the form of Bowser’s Super Mario 3D World + Fury for Nintendo Switch. That game will surely be the best-selling boxed game this time next week.
