Los Angeles Angels fans got their money by trolling and making fun of the Houston Astros arriving at the stadium for the start of a series of three games at the start of the regular 2021 season.
The game was interrupted twice during the game on Monday night, when a fan threw an inflatable trash can on the pitch of Angel Stadium. Moments later, real rubbish can hit the alert lane. Houston players were also subjected to shouts of “suck Astros”, according to ESPN.

Astros players were not subjected to this during the shortened season of 2020 because fans were barred from the stadium due to coronavirus restrictions. The fans still seemed to be embittered by the cheating scandal that forced the resignation of Jeff Luhnow and AJ Hinch. No active players were involved.
Houston set up a scheme during the 2017 championship season in which signals from opposing players would be relayed to the reserve bench and an employee would hit a trash can to tell hitter Astros what was coming, an MLB investigation revealed.
Astros’ current manager, Dusty Baker, argued that the debt was already paid.

“You can tell the amount of hostility and hatred in the stands,” said Baker, via ESPN. “How many people in the stands have never done anything wrong in their lives? We pay the price for it. How many people haven’t cheated on a test or whatever at some point. I mean, it’s easy if you live in glass houses, but I don’t think anyone lives in glass houses.
“I think sometimes we need to look at ourselves before you spew hatred at someone else. It’s a sad situation for America, for me, when you hear things – I mean, what should kids think in the stands? And some of them they are children who are following their parents. It is sad for me. People make mistakes. We pay for ours and I would like them to leave it alone. “

The Angels won the game 7-6, giving Houston their first loss of the season.
