The coronavirus pandemic disrupted college and high school basketball in the United States in March. Only recently have club teams in some states like Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania and Georgia, among others, opened gyms for players looking to improve their games or secure scholarships for athletes.
With players having fewer opportunities to showcase their talent in the past few months, live streams and movies have become more essential for evaluating players amid travel precautions and restrictions.
So, when upgrading the espnW 100 to the 2021 class, our team looked at hours of film and talked to coaches to reclassify the best high school students in the country.
Here are the top five seniors and five other potential clients whose shares have risen in the past few months.
Top 5 potential customers
1. G Azzi Fudd
St. John’s College High School (DC) | GTS Fusion
Not compromised
Fudd has a unique distinction, as she is one of those players who has kept the top spot throughout her years of preparation. When she entered the high school scene, she was considered one of the most dominant players as a freshman that many have seen.
Fundamentally, she has no flaws in her game. As a three-level gunner, she is a tough fight for anyone. She is a devastating 3-point shooter (remember her viral video doing 268 3s in an 18-minute workout?), Has a cash pull-up since high school and can end up on the edge with contact between the best of them. She has a naturally strong structure that allows for an efficient recovery and helps her to be a courageous defender.
Fudd has a posture and maturity that allows him to be a great shot maker. Although she struggled with a knee injury that left her out for much of the first summer and high school, her resume shows some achievements of all time. Think of your skill set as a hybrid of former WNBA greats Kara Lawson and Katie Smith.
2. PG Raven Johnson
Westlake High School (Georgia) | FBC United
Committed to: South Carolina
In the high school women’s basketball scene, Johnson is synonymous with victory. Their Westlake teams have won the last three state championships in Georgia’s highest ranking. Their FBC United teams have also been considered the best on the club circuit in recent summers.
Johnson is a true point guard who brings in the best teammates. In terms of skills, it has been steadily improving and its stock is steadily increasing from year to year. She has always shown a special talent for making good decisions in the pick-and-roll game. Last season and this summer, she proved to everyone that she could also be a threat from the 3-point line.
With the ball, its length and tenacity make it a problem for opposing guards, and it can even block some kicks on the weak side. His game is modeled on Chelsea Gray with a little Lindsey Harding to accompany him.
3. W Saniya Rivers
Ashley High School (North Carolina) | Carolina Flames
Committed to: South Carolina
When Rivers first came on the scene, it was clear that she had tremendous potential thanks, in part, to her revealing engine. Over time, his skills grew. She added a cutting ability to the wing and elbow areas on the court. Then came her agility, as she honed her skills in changing direction for her control. And as a pitcher, she became more consistent on the free-throw line and the tag.
The 6-foot rivers were one of the most sought after candidates in the 2021 class before Dawn Staley got her appointment. Defensively, she can protect anyone on the ground and can recover with the best of them. She is a terror on the pass lanes and uses her length on the ball to hinder ball handlers. Rivers shows flashes of Angel McCoughtry and Courtney Williams, a dangerous combination.
4. F Sania Feagin
Forest Park High School (Georgia) | Georgia Pearls
Committed to: South Carolina
Simply put, Feagin is a talented basketball player. The 6-foot-3 Gamecocks commit has elite length, size and skill with the physicality of a power forward. In addition to his presence, his death stands out; she can do good readings in the double team and in the high-low game.
Feagin attacks the basket very well and is a high-level finisher. She expanded her range with a natural 15-foot strike. His effort on the glass is also impressive, chasing rebounds from across the court. Her calculated time in painting and outside the perimeter makes her a strong shot blocker. She is an active defender whose game is reminiscent of Sylvia Fowles, Joyner Holmes and Natasha Howard.
5. W Caroline Ducharme
Noble and Greenough School (Massachusetts) | Exodus
Committed to: UConn
Shower is the total package offensively. She is a 1.8m guard with an impressive handle, elite footwork, a quick release and reach beyond the arch. She had to overcome a knee injury that left her aside for a bit of her freshman season and a shoulder injury that made her miss games during her second season, but all signs point to her being 100% now.
She added strength and agility, which in turn brought a physicality that made her seek contact in the submissions and recovering relentlessly. She sees the ground well, so whenever she is the focus of her opponents’ defensive game plan, she knows how to make it easier for her teammates.
Defensively, she can defend several positions, and she has shown throughout the summer that she reads overtaking tracks well, especially in the press. She jumped from 37th to 5th place in the ranking. Ducharme’s game is like a hybrid of Katie Lou Samuelson and Allie Quigley.

G / W Jersey Wolfenbarger
Fort Smith Northside High School (Arkansas) | Banshees
Committed to: Arkansas
Rating: 7 (previous: 18)
Wolfenbarger was considered a late bloom based on his physical growth spurt (s). She started out as a small but energetic guard, who was talented enough to play over her age group. Then it grew to 6 feet-2 and is now at 6 feet-5, and its confidence is noticeable.
She developed one of the softest photos in her class. Wolfenbarger methodically attacks opponents for a purpose, showing flashes of DeWanna Bonner and Elena Delle Donne in their ground game.
“She is not only the most hardworking player the Banshees have ever had, she is the most focused and detailed person I have ever met,” said Nathan Sadler, director of the Banshees. “Jersey has a plan for all aspects of her game and she methodically attacks them with purpose and maturity.”
PG Rori Harmon
Cypress Creek High School (Texas) | CyFair Premier
Committed to: Texas
Rating: 10 (previous: 20)
Harmon is a spark on the floor. It is also an instant bucket. As a young woman, she used to be the smallest player on the court against older opponents. It is now 1.5 meters tall, but it is one of the most efficient prospects in the 2021 class.
It can create space anywhere on the court. Harmon also has a hesitation that ravages opposing defenses, and she has a quick release to fire. She improved her rebounds and her defense on the ball over time. Harmon reminds the evaluators of Crystal Dangerfield and Andrea Riley.
W Aubryanna Hall
Huber Heights Wayne High School (Ohio) | Sports City U
Committed to: South Carolina
Rating: 14 (previous: 26)
Hall’s coaches describe her as competitive, and that is clear. She always had the physical skills to impact the ground, and as her skills improved, she started to become more striking.
“The sky is the limit, and I really believe she is a future professional,” said Hall’s high school coach Travis Trice.
She is defensively disturbing and has also become more consistent on the 3-point line, increasing her 3-point percentage from 24.1% in the second year to 38.8% in the junior. Think of Hall’s game as a mix between Megan Walker and Leaonna Odom.
W Destiny Adams
Manchester Township High School (New Jersey) | Exodus
Committed to: North Carolina
Rating: 20 (previous: 35)
Adams, a 6-foot-3 wing, shows elements that allow her to become a more “advanced” player on the court. Because she is as good as she is on the perimeter, she took a more robust approach and found value in the advanced position last year. She became more assertive and improved her rebounding skills and defensive play.
“She is proving to be one of the best players in her position,” said Thomas Davis, Adams’ Exodus coach.
She went from an average of 14.7 points and 7.1 rebounds as a sophomore to 18.1 points and 11.8 rebounds as a junior. At the next level, imagine Adams as part Napheesa Collier and part Alysha Clark.
Shyanne G / W sellers
Aurora High School (Ohio) | SMAC Lady Ballers
Committed to: Maryland
Rating: 22 (previous: 44)
Sellers is a skilled 1.80 meter guard who has a natural feel for the game. Daughter of former NBA veteran Brad Sellers, Shyanne improved her dribbling skills and added a 3-point shot to her game over the summer.
She makes intelligent readings and decisions on the floor. And with its size and length, it can defend various positions and play in different defensive schemes. She has all the tools to make an impact on the next level, showing flashes of Seimone Augustus and Shekinna Stricklen.
The Premier Basketball team includes Joey Simmons, Shane Laflin, Brittany Graham, Katie Hensle, Jason Key, Jineen Williams and Mark Williams.
