New year, new Ana de Armas.
The “Knives Out” actress, 32, has spent the past few weeks in her native Cuba – and has made a big change in her appearance.
Appearing in a video message to her friend Claudia Muma on January 17th, she showed off her short hair and her almost black bangs.
It is unclear when exactly Armas decided on the big hit, but in light of news that the actress has split from boyfriend Ben Affleck, some fans say it was an indication that things were going badly for the couple.
“Convinced that Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas broke up because she went to stay with her family in Cuba and it went wrong. It was a solid two weeks without a paparazzi photo together, ” one person tweeted on January 10, before news of the breakup surfaced.
“Ana De Armas and Ben Affleck broke up … Ana did that post-parting haircut too,” another said on January 2nd.
So far the infamous Ana de Armas Updates Twitter account foreseen the new haircut would symbolize “move to 2021”.
A source told Page Six that Armas and Affleck, 48, ended their relationship so the latter could spend more time with his children – Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11 and Samuel, 8 – who he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner while Armas is in a “different place in his life”.
