Very similar what cut out of cardboard, the relationship between Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas is still in decline.
Months after two, the stars broke up after less than a year of dating and probably liters of Dunkin ‘iced coffee shared between them, speculation that they reconciled circulates on the internet.
It all started when the “Knives Out” actor posted a seemingly standard selfie on Instagram over the weekend showing off his post-Ben bob. In the photo, she displayed a half-heart pendant necklace, next to a heart emoji.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Affleck and De Armas used to wear identical versions of the accessory in the flurry of paparazzi photos of the ex-couple during their turbulent summer quarantine romance. When the two gave up in January, many assumed that the jewels would be placed on ice, a symbol that will soon be forgotten about a love that has grown cold.
Then, fans were immediately convinced that the revival of the necklace on De Armas’ selfie indicated that she and Affleck were trying again.
But, it seems, a necklace can be just a necklace.
After sharing the photo, De Armas followed the post with another Instagram story with a series of stickers with the words “no”, “no” and “I think not” on a black screen, plus two peace signs with fingers, apparently ending speculation.
While it certainly looks like De Armas is currently single, reports have described his break with Affleck as relatively friendly and they seem to have stayed close.
“This is a mutual and completely friendly thing,” an unnamed source told People at the time, adding that two two “still talk regularly.”
“They are at different times in their lives; there is deep love and respect there, ”said the source to the outlet. “Ben continues to want to work on himself. He has three definite jobs and is a solid father at home. Both are happy with the place they are in their lives. “
Neither party has publicly addressed the division. Quite unexpectedly, the brother of the “Justice League” actor, Casey Affleck, was the most outspoken.
After denying that he threw a cardboard cutout of De Armas in the trash, the young Affleck frankly admitted that “this year has been very difficult for people in relationships”.
“I think she’s a catch in every way,” he told Entertainment Tonight about De Armas. “And I’ll be there to carry Ben during this, but I don’t think he’s going to have any problems [either]. My advice to them would be: ‘Yes, think about it a lot, because quarantine is not fun if you are single.’ “
