An initial version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was found, in which the link could turn into a Navi

A development version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

was discovered and reveals a look in progress in the village of Kakariko, an initial test of archery, and that Link could have turned into Navi through the medallion of the soul. As reported by Eurogamer, this demo, which was shown at Spaceworld ’97, was found on an old N64 development cartridge used to contain the F-Zero X. Once inspected again, the Zelda demo build was found and, although it was partially saved – over, there was still a lot to see.

Shared by Forest of Illusion on Twitter, one of the most surprising revelations was that Link was able to transform into a Navi through Soul Medallion. As you can see in the images below the @MrCheeze and @ Zeru64, he would be able to fly around the map and still have his Master Sword and Hylian Shield;

Other medallions would have allowed him to launch and dissipate fire at will, warp when in danger and more.

We also get a glimpse of a Hyrule other than @MrTalida:

A more basic and less developed Kakariko village than @shanebattye:

A bow and arrow test where you are also riding Epona’s @MrTalida and @xdanieldzd:

Here, we have a glimpse of what the Pegasus Boots of Link could have been @ zel640, who seem to have made the final game like the slightly adjusted Hover Boots:

Part of the translated text also suggests that the story of Ocarina of Time originally played out a little differently. It is said that Deku Tree was created to be a prison for fairies where Link would have to free Navi.
