An elderly Scottish woman died 12 years before her body was discovered last month, police say

Researchers believe an elderly Scotswoman who was found dead last month in Aberdeen may have been dead for up to 12 years.

Christina Malley’s body was found on February 25 at her home after she failed to show up for a COVID vaccine appointment, the Scotsman reported. She was supposed to be in her 80s.

Nurses came to the house to check on Malley, but her husband said she was not at home, according to Scottish media reports. However, his body was later found inside.

The police still do not know exactly when and how she died, but they estimate it could have happened as early as 2009.
