An avenger should appear soon

The Avengers should be coming to WandaVision any minute, since the world has finally taken a look at what’s going on, right? We finally have an idea of what’s going on, but if you’re like me … you’re asking, “Where are the Avengers and how do they not know that?” That should almost definitely mean that the Avengers will be called to Westview, right? Especially if things start to get worse? But here’s the thing … Most Avengers can’t answer the phone right now, except for one, and we’ll probably see that other superhero appear soon.

See the Avengers OG 6 MCU. They’re not around to help SWORD solve what’s going on WandaVision.

Tony Stark? He tried to kill Thanos and sacrifice himself. Black Widow? He jumped off a cliff to get the Soul Stone. Captain America? They handed over the Infinity Stones to their places in the past and stayed there. Thor? Off the planet, currently filming Love and thunder with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Hulk? Out of commission! The damage to your arm is permanent.

Hawkeye? Well, I really don’t know why Hawkeye is not going to show up here. It was he who named Wanda an avenger in Ultron era and at least he was seen suffering with her at Tony’s funeral … maybe he will? But is a bow and arrow probably useless against the most powerful Avenger when he is manipulating reality? It would probably just turn them into bubbles.

Aside from the original six MCU Avengers, Captain Marvel doesn’t seem to have much interest in time on Earth, Wakanda has his own problems to solve with everyone coming back into existence, and Spider-Man is hiding from the world because his identity was revealed in the last time we saw it. Spider-Man: away from home, however, is the film where the clue for which the Avenger will show in WandaVision it was hidden all the time.

Nick Fury and Maria Hill (actually Talos and Soren) explain that Thor is out of the world and ask Peter not to “invoke” Captain Marvel’s name. However, when Peter suggests only Doctor Strange, Maria states that he is “unavailable”. That means he’s busy, probably facing an Avengers-level threat in or around Westview!

Also, let me go further – Tyler Heyward pointed out that he is the “interim” director of SWORD in WandaVision episode 4. We have to assume that this is because Nick Fury is in space building the SWORD even more, while Talos takes on his terrestrial work on Earth, which seems to indicate WandaVision is occurring at a time very parallel to that of Spider-Man: away from home.

There are other Avengers that could be available like Ant-Man, the Wasp, Shuri or some others, but none of them seem equipped to deal with the reality-altering powers that Wanda is using in this show. In other words, if the Avengers are aware of what’s going on WandaVision, it should only be a matter of time before the strange Doctor appears … unless the SWORD is very, very dumb and just keeps it all to himself. Considering how these organizations work in the MCU, this is entirely possible.
