On the morning of October 19, 2020, shortly after Bob, then 58, was anesthetized, one of the doctors in the operating room read aloud a note from Bob. It was addressed to the “medical team about to perform my cardiac procedure”.
“While I am lying here in my hospital bed waiting for my Ablation today, I thought about what I would like to know if I were you. That is, the person with a beating heart to whom you are about to speak is very grateful for all the education, training and experience that each of you has. ”
The note continued: “Unlike many of your patients, I had no idea that fate would unite us today … Thanks in advance for making me another of your success stories. Lets do this!”
Bob’s procedure went extremely well and now, just a few months later, he ran again next to the dog. He and Lori give credit to their Apple Watch for changing their future.
“We really believe it saved your life,” says Lori. “It can’t be bigger than that.”
