According to Ada County Sheriff’s spokesman Patrick Orr, the Idaho Supreme Court has a mask mandate for anyone entering a courtroom, but when Bundy showed up on Monday morning for the first day of his jury trial, he didn’t use one and was denied entry.
Magistrate Judge David Manweiler then issued a no-show warrant, a misdemeanor.
Bundy was arrested and taken to Ada County Jail, where he is being held on $ 10,000 bond, Orr said.
CNN contacted Bundy for comment, but did not receive an immediate response. It is not clear whether he has a lawyer.
Bundy faces charges of misdemeanor and resistance to arrest, linked to the August incident in the Idaho State House. He was arrested for refusing to leave the Capitol in Boise during a special session of the legislature.
“The police were forced to physically remove Bundy from the Senate Gallery,” said police at the time.
Bundy and others were on the Capitol demanding an end to the state of emergency.
He and others were indicted by a grand federal jury, but he was acquitted on charges of possession of a firearm and conspiracy to prevent federal workers.
