American Idol contestant Funke Lagoke fell flat on her face during Monday’s episode, while waiting to see if she would make it through the competition. (See the complete performance and the incident below.)
Lagoke and Ronda Felton had just finished the duet part for Hollywood Week, and Judge Lionel Richie was criticizing their performance.
“Funke, you’ve come to an end. The problem is … – Richie said before Lagoke passed out, landing with an alarming thud.
Speaker Luke Bryan rushed to the stage to help team members attend Lagoke. They turned her on her back before paramedics arrived to put her on a stretcher.
Lagoke was treated for dehydration in a hospital and was discharged, the program reported.
Meanwhile, Richie informed Felton that the two would return to “American Idol” for the round of excitement.
“I can’t say that I’m happy right now, I’m just concerned about her health more than anything,” said Felton. “I feel that this is the most important thing at the moment. I just want her to know that I love her, that I care about her, I want her to be okay. “
