The singer told the publication: ‘We both always dream of having a wedding in the barn. Most couples who come from Miami usually go to the beach wedding, but we always had a different idea of how we wanted the wedding of our dreams to be. ‘

She also commented: ‘We have been talking about this day since we met.’

Garrido’s 27-year-old uncle officiated at the ceremony, where the two singers allegedly took their respective vows on the spot.

Although the event took place in the midst of a global pandemic, country singers took special care to keep their guests safe from any potential exposure to COVID-19, as social disengagement protocols were in place during the wedding and reception.

The two also kept their guest list relatively short, to ensure that everyone in attendance could safely enjoy the evening.

“COVID hasn’t changed our plans much … we already had an idea of an intimate wedding with a shortened guest list and an outdoor barn,” said Luna.

After the ceremony, the reception was even more special by Garrido, who wrote and performed a special song for his now wife.

The two first came on the scene during their audition for American Idol, where their prowess as a pair led them to move on to the second round of auditions.

During their next appearance, the judges were impressed by Luna’s dramatic vocals, but Garrido’s performance was apparently not proficient enough, and his then girlfriend was forced to advance to the next round alone.

In her final round, Luna performed Lady Gaga’s Always Remember Us This Way, which the judges evidently did not like, as they later eliminated her.

After the two artists left the program, they signed a publishing contract as a musical duo.
