American Airlines denounced the behavior of two passengers who reportedly started fighting with another traveler who asked them to stop using a racial slur on a recent flight from Dallas to Los Angeles. The major carrier also announced that the two passengers could be placed on its air exclusion list.

An American Airlines spokesman confirmed the incident to Fox News on Monday morning, sharing flight 776, bound for Dallas-Fort Worth LAX on February 24, landed early in Phoenix due to customer strife on board .

“Upon arrival, the flight was received by local police, who removed and arrested two individuals for verbally and physically assaulting other customers and crew members. Their behavior was disturbing and unacceptable, and they were placed on the internal refusal list while being investigated. “said the spokesman, revealing that an investigation was underway.

The two travelers, identified as Kelly Pichardo and Leeza Rodriguez by NBC News, were arrested after a fight with an unidentified passenger who asked them to stop using racial slander.

“Kelly Pichardo was upset and reportedly spat on the passenger who had asked her to stop using that language,” according to a police note obtained by the vehicle. “The male passenger then started to register the two women, and that was when Leeza Rodriguez hit the man’s hand to prevent him from registering the incident.”

Fox 10 Phoenix reports that Pichardo, 30, and Rodriguez, 29, are now accused of physically and verbally assaulting other passengers and crew members. Both women were charged with disorderly conduct, while Pichardo also faces an additional charge of assault by NBC.
