After her emotional farewell to California at the start of the sixth and final season, Amy from America Ferrera will return to the Superstore for the end of the series.

NBC confirmed Ferrerra’s return on Wednesday, sharing an initial photo of the 36-year-old actress returning to Cloud 9.

‘Surprise! Amy is back! I am very happy to have played with my family @nbcsuperstore for the grand finale of the series’, Ferrera started.

“It was a happy and bittersweet goodbye that we can’t wait to share with our incredible fans,” she added.

The first photo showed Amy trying on a blue Cloud 9 vest, indicating that she is returning to work, at least for now.

Ferrera’s character, Amy Sosa, manager of Cloud 9, was there from the start, starring in the first five seasons before announcing her surprising departure in February 2020, just days after the show was renewed for the sixth season.

“The past five years at the Superstore have been some of the most rewarding, enriching and enjoyable years of my career,” said the actress in a statement.

Since leaving the sitcom, Ferrera has turned his attention to the direction, having first taken charge of four episodes of the Superstore.
