If you want an original Fire TV experience, there are several ways to get one. But when it comes to the dedicated TV sets that come with Fire OS pre-installed, Amazon prefers to work with partners through its Fire TV Edition program, rather than launching its own TVs.
That changed this week when the company launched two sets of its AmazonBasics brand in India. They are 55 and 50 inch models that cost around US $ 480 and US $ 410, respectively. In terms of features, they are practically what you would expect from TVs in the price range. Both come with 4K LED screens that support HDR 10 and HLG, as well as Dolby Vision. They also come with an Alexa and Fire OS 7 voice remote control – although apparently not the new version of the company’s Fire TV interface.
