Almost perfect cup in Alabama A&M’s 31-7 victory over SC State

ORANGEBURG, SC (AP) – Aqeel Glass shot for 272 yards and four touchdowns and Alabama A&M jumped South Carolina State 31-7 on Saturday in a spring opening of the FCS outside the conference for both teams.

Glass made a 16-yard pass to Abdul-Fatai Ibrahim for the opening score, 9:08 to go. Just before the break, he played an 18-yard score for Odieu Hilaire to make it 14-0.

To start the third, Glass connected with Dami Adekunjo for a 65-yard TD pass and then Brian Jenkins Jr. for a 20-yard scoring pass with 4:43 left in the third.

Glass finished 15-to-33, and Alabama A&M had no adverse effects from his three interceptions.

Alex James’ 23-yard touchdown run with 13:36 left was responsible for the only score in the state of South Carolina. Kendral Flowers ran 115 yards in 13 races for the Bulldogs.
