With so much superhero content on the way, Hollywood studios set release dates for the long-awaited titles years in advance. However, this does not mean that everything always goes according to plan. At the same time, 2021 would include many films that will no longer be released this year. Matt Reeves’ Batman starring Robert Pattinson was pushed to 2022 after extensive delays in the production of COVID-19. The same is true for Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam was scheduled for a launch in December 2021 as well, but missed that release date in late 2020.

These delays in the 2021 films were also partially made so that the studios could find a home for the 2020 superhero films that they were unable to release. COVID-19 closed cinemas for months and forced all major Hollywood studios to reorganize their screens. But, there are also some titles that will be released in 2021 that most never thought would be released. With all that in mind, here are the superhero movies that will be released in 2021.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League

2021 will mark the long-awaited launch of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Although it is a version of Justice League released in theaters in 2017, the film presented to the public was heavily remade by Joss Whedon at the request of Warner Bros. It was announced in 2020 that Zack Snyder was having a chance to complete his vision for HBO Max. Currently, it is expected to be four hours long, about 75% of which have not been seen. No official release date for Justice League is confirmed, but is expected to arrive in March 2021.
