A new year means a new start and what can be a better start than getting more value for a service you paid for earlier. With the beginning of January 2021, Microsoft finally announced the next addition of games to the Xbox Game Pass service, which is already profitable.
Available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers, Microsoft will add the following titles to the Game Pass Library:
- Killer Queen Black (January 5)
- Cyber Shadow (January 26)
- The Medium (January 28) – Xbox Series X / S only
- Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 Remastered (January 28)
This time, Microsft is not starting the year with a bang and has managed to remaster Yakuza 3.4 and 5 in the game pass at the same time as its release for PC. In addition, now with the addition of the remastered versions, all Yakuza games can be played on the Xbox Game Pass.
For those unfamiliar with Yakuza games, it is a Japanese video game franchise created, owned and published by Sega. The genre of the Yakuza series is basically beat ’em up, but elements from the action-adventure, open world and action RPG genres are also incorporated into each game.
The main theme of the series is the protagonist’s desire to stop being Yakuza forever and start over, creating orphans and trying to assimilate civilian life, but the protagonist will face an ongoing challenge from other Yakuza groups and bandits who are trying to overthrow him. Yakuza games offer players a variety of fighting styles to choose from.
Cyber Shadow is another Sega game that will be part of the game pass library on January 26.
It is a 2D retro game that will take you back to the days of Sega Generis. You play as a cyber ninja called Shadow, who sets out to rescue his clan in a world dominated by machines.
As for other games, The Medium is an exclusive game for the X / S Series, and The Killer Queen Black is a multiplayer strategy game in which you play with up to 8 players.
Join your friends on a journey to defeat the opponent’s queen and win the game. It is the first game of the year to arrive on the Xbox Game Pass and will be available on January 5.
