Jean Trebek, wife lately Danger host Alex Trebek, marked his first Christmas since his death, sharing some wisdom.
“Time is too precious to be spent on anything other than kindness,” she wrote on Instagram, under a photo of the couple’s two children, Emily and Matthew. “Many blessings of beauty and joy for you and all your loved ones!”
The 80-year-old television host died on November 8 after a battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, during the 37th season of the popular game show. “[I’ve lived] a full life, and I’m coming to the end of that life … if it happens, why should I be afraid of it? ”Alex told CTV in October. “One thing they are not going to say at my funeral, as part of a compliment, is: ‘He was taken from us too early.'”

A copy of Alex’s death certificate, obtained by The explosion, revealed that he was cremated and his ashes were stored in the Studio City, California home, which he shared with his wife.
