The final episode of Danger! hosted by the late Alex Trebek it aired on Friday afternoon, marking the end of an era for the beloved question and answer program. The episode was filmed last year and was originally planned to air on Christmas, but Sony Pictures Television and ABC delayed the last week of episodes to send Alex Trebek the right way. Alex Trebek did Danger! a joy to watch, and the series will never be the same without it, but Sony Pictures Television is trying to figure out who will take the podium to replace the iconic presenter.
When Alex Trebek recorded this final episode, he had no idea that he would not be returning, so he ended his usual departure by saying, “Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for spending time with us. We’ll see you again next week. “We would like it to be that way, but we are grateful for all the time we have spent with Alex Trebek over the years.
Although he himself was unable to record a final farewell, Alex Trebek gave a thoughtful message to kick off the last week of episodes. Since these episodes were supposed to air before Christmas, it’s about the time of giving, but the message he shares with all of us is still one that we can follow in these difficult times.
