Alex Rodriguez confirmed that he is currently in a relationship after several reports that he broke up with fiancee Jennifer Lopez.
The 45-year-old former MLB star was spotted for the first time on his way to his Florida gym, after he and Lopez confirmed they are “working on some things” in a statement that dispels rumors that they canceled their engagement and parted for good.
On Saturday, a TMZ photographer asked Rodriguez if he was single when he was entering the compound, to which the former New York Yankee responded unequivocally in the negative.
“It is not me [single], no, “he said to the photographer with a laugh.

When he was leaving the gym, the photographers caught him getting a call from Lopez in which he said he would call back in a moment. During the brief call, he referred to the singer and actress as “baby”.

Rodriguez and the 51-year-old “On the Floor” singer issued a joint statement on Saturday explaining that news about the end of their relationship was “inaccurate”.
“All reports are inaccurate. We are working on some things,” says the joint statement from the duo.
A source also told Fox News that although reports of the split were premature, the two recently faced some problems.
“Nothing was concrete. They went through a difficult phase, but they are working on it,” said the source.
Much of the speculation comes from a report on Page Six that pointed to an earlier rumor that emerged earlier this year about Rodriguez and “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy. However, a source told Fox News that a third party “did not contribute” to the couple’s recent problems.
However, neither Rodriguez nor Lopez have yet answered what their problems are.
“Jennifer and Alex have much bigger things – like business and their [respective] children – to worry about, “said the source.
During a special meeting for the show in January, Bravo host Andy Cohen revealed that LeCroy would have been left with “a very famous and married former MLB player”.

Fans realized that Rodriguez was enjoying his photos on Instagram, leading to speculation that he was the athlete in question – despite the fact that he was just engaged, not married.
Meanwhile, Lopez recently revealed that she and Rodriguez saw a therapist.
“It’s been really good. We have to work on ourselves,” she told Allure. “We were in therapy. I think it was very useful for us in our relationship.”

However, despite the therapy, a source told People that the pair had been “on the rocks for almost three months”.

“They tried to keep the balance for the children, but everyone knew it was not going to work,” the source told the channel. “They were going to buy a mega mansion together and it didn’t happen, since they gave up on the deal with all their friends here [in Miami] you knew.”
The last official public event that Lopez and Rodriguez attended together appears to be the inauguration of President Joe Biden, where Lopez performed.
