Just as you all predicted, Alex Ovechkin was the game winner’s marker in his first game after his four game / suspension / anything unavailability due to the COVID-19 protocols.
A few seconds after extra time, Ovi beat the Boston goalkeeper Tuukka Rask in a solo effort.

After breaking a 3-0 lead to Bruins, Caps regrouped in overtime. In his first attack, Ovechkin climbed onto the ice and fired a quick-release wrist shot at some elevation. Rask misinterpreted.

That’s career goal 708, drawing with Mike Gartner. It was also Ovi’s 111th goal in his career game win (passing Brett Hull and Teemu Selanne for fourth place in NHL history) and his 24th OT goal in the regular season (an NHL record).
Ovechkin was joined by his teammates.

Since his suspension for breaking the COVID-19 protocols, Ovechkin has gone ten days without skating. “I thought it would be worse,” Ovechkin told Joe Beninati after the game.
