Alec Baldwin should play himself in the ‘SNL’ sketch about his wife’s inheritance controversy: Trump Jr.

Donald Trump Jr suggested on Wednesday that actor Alec Baldwin represented himself in a “Saturday Night Live” sketch of his wife Hilaria’s scandal over his inheritance.

“Alec Baldwin should play Alec Baldwin when SNL parodies his wife by pretending she is Spanish for the past few decades, as opposed to the basic white girl at the mass she really is,” tweeted the president’s son. “It would be the first funny thing that Saturday Night Live has produced in years.”

Baldwin, 62, has played the role of President Trump since before he took office, with an impression that the president called “petty and not very funny”.

Hilaria Baldwin, 36, received a negative reaction on social media this week for suggesting she was from Spain in the past and for using a Spanish accent in the past when she was born in Massachusetts.

A deleted tweet that sparked controversy said, “You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to his decade-old wife, where she pretends to be a Spaniard.”

Comedian Joe Piscopo, who was a cast member of “SNL” in the 1980s, agreed with Trump Jr, telling Fox News: “We were offended very easily. Why did she do that? I don’t know. I think it’s a subject for a sketch on ‘SNL’, I’m just saying. “

There has been no indication that the show will cover the subject, and many say that the producers will not bring it up due to Alec Baldwin’s ties to the show.

Hilaria Baldwin called the reaction “surreal”, telling The New York Times: “There is nothing I am doing wrong, and I think there is a difference between hiding and creating a limit.”

Hilaria was born as Hillary, but told the newspaper that family members called her Hilaria most of her life.

In defense of his wife, Alec Baldwin shared a quote from Mark Twain on his Instagram on Tuesday that said, “A lie can travel half the world while the truth is being laid out.”

In April podcast interview, Hilaria Baldwin said: “I moved here [to America] when I was 19 years old to go to NYU from … my family lives in Spain, they live in Mallorca. “

The accent of the bilingual mother of five has also fluctuated noticeably over the years, when she appeared on TV and in a 2015 clip for “Today”, she apparently forgot the English word for “cucumber”.

Meanwhile, his CAA speaker page, Wikipedia and IMDB page previously listed his country of birth as Spain. The talent agency has since removed any mention of his hometown, while the latter two have made corrections. Speaking in his last interview, Baldwin blames the false reports and says he never actively misrepresented his inheritance.

She says she is bilingual and usually speaks in several different accents, depending on her mood. She also noted that she did not read articles about herself and did not know that her ethnicity was being reported incorrectly.

As for the “cucumber” moment, she says she was simply nervous about being live on TV and gave a “brain fart”.
