Alabama’s Mac Jones suffers an ankle injury in the Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Alabama (AP) Alabama quarterback Mac Jones injured his left ankle on Thursday in a Senior Bowl workout and said he was unsure of his status for the game.

Jones did not finish training, the final before Saturday’s game. The Heisman Trophy finalist, who led the Crimson Tide for the national championship, said “there is a chance” that he would be out of the game.

“I just have to see how I feel,” said Jones. “I will not go around if I am not 100%. It is not fair to my teammates not to be 100% and try to play and not play well.

” I will make the decision, but I hope to get the treatment and see how it goes. ”

American team coach Matt Rhule of the Carolina Panthers said he did not know Jones’ status or what happened.

“He started limping at the end, so I just said, ‘Why don’t you go see the coach?’ ‘Said Rhule. ” The last thing I want to do is watch the boy get attacked. He was going through a difficult time. But he had a good day, he just had to heal. ”

The other defenders of the American team are Kellen Mond, from Texas A&M, and Jamie Newman, from Wake Forest, who moved to Georgia before giving up.
