Alabama women’s golf travels to South Carolina for the Gamecock Intercollegiate

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama’s 20th women’s golf team will continue its spring season on Monday in Columbia, SC, for the Gamecock Intercollegiate. The event will be a three-day, 54-hole tournament organized by the University of South Carolina at Columbia Country Club.

The Columbia Country Club course will have a par 72 layout of 6,297 yards. Eighteen holes will be played each day (starting at 9am Monday to Wednesday) and an individual and team champion will be crowned on Wednesday.

About Alabama

  • Crimson Tide finished third in the Gators Invitational, after finishing ninth in the Moon Golf Invitational.
  • The UA piece on Gators Invitational was highlighted by Benedetta Moresco same pair (73-67-70) overall tournament score, which placed her in fifth place.

Conquering the Course

  • Overall, 10 of the 18 teams on the field are ranked in the Top 25 at Golfstat.com Team Rankings, including five that are in the top 10
  • Among the 18 participating teams are Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Duke, Florida, Furman, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
