Why Alabama will win
After a great winning streak, Alabama has lost two of its last three games and both were away from home – this is their third trip in 11 days.
Even with the two losses, it took a fantastic effort from Missouri to survive on Saturday, and Oklahoma increased one of its best performances of the season – considering the circumstances – in a tough fight.
South Carolina doesn’t have the things that OU and Mizzou have.
Gamecocks don’t shoot much out of three and they don’t hit many of them either. They don’t move the ball well and don’t get enough rebounds when they miss, and Bama will take care of that.
Why South Carolina will win
Gamecocks had their moments, however, starting at three.
No, they are not as accurate from the outside when they actually bomb, but overall they were able to hit at least 40% of the field in four of the last five games.
Bama has a small turnover problem, has not been able to do much on the pitch in the last games – it has not reached 40% in three of the last four games – and although it is an exaggeration to say the team entered into a kind of funk of the dog days, no is playing its best.
What will happen
South Carolina will be the cure for Alabama’s malaise. Crimson Tide will reach the three that the USC will not, and they will get enough points in the second half to get away after a fun first half.
