The number of new COVID-19 cases in Alabama is again approaching 4,000.
The 10-hour numbers from the Alabama Department of Public Health, December 29, show that the state has added 3,907 cases of coronavirus since yesterday, bringing the total since March to 351,804. The state added 25 deaths with a total of 4,737.
Hospitalizations jumped to 2,804, the highest number since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the new ADPH vaccine tracker, 20,354 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered since the start of the process last week.
