Al Horford’s sister Anna Horford would ‘love to see you’ with the Celtics

Things could look very different for the Boston Celtics if Al Horford had not canceled his contract in 2019.

The team had just lost Kyrie Irving, and the Philadelphia 76ers offered him a massive $ 109 million contract for four years to steal him from his Eastern Conference rival. Unfortunately for Horford, the grass was no longer green in Philadelphia, and the team added Kemba Walker and defeated the 76ers in the NBA playoffs in the next season’s bubble.

Since then, the failed experiment has resulted in the 76ers sending the NBA All-Star five times to Oklahoma City Thunder on draft night. And on Saturday, Thunder announced a plan to close Horford for the rest of the year to save him for an off-season trade.

After all, however, many Celtics fans would welcome Horford with open arms. And it looks like your family supports that.

“We would love to see you back in Boston,” tweeted Anna Horford, her younger sister, on Saturday after the news.

Horford is expected to earn $ 27.5 million, $ 27 million and $ 26.5 million over the next three seasons – including this season – suggesting that he may not want to be bought. At the same time, however, it will not be easy for Thunder to unload their contract on another team, which they are supposed to plan to do.

But if the numbers work, we would love to see that meeting.
