Acquire released the Japanese debut trailer and screenshots for Akiba Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed, your high definition remaster of the PSP title Travel over Akiba, as well as launched the official Japanese website.
Akiba Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed will be released for PlayStation 4 and Switch on May 20 in Japan. The publisher XSEED Games first announced a Western release for PlayStation 4 and PC in June 2019 and recently confirmed that it will launch the remaster in 2021. Although XSEED Games has not yet has officially announced the Switch version, it was announced only for Japan this week and is probably also planned for release in the west.

Akiba Travel, Acquire’s strip-action action adventure released in 2011 for PSP, will be reintroduced for PlayStation 4 and Switch on May 20, 2021 on its 10th anniversary.
This remastering, which returns to the origin of a series that has become a mega-hit with a cumulative total of more than 800,000 copies sold worldwide, will be available in a standard edition that includes Travel over Akiba remastered in high definition, as well as a limited edition of the 10th anniversary that includes a colorful illustration book with art by illustrators, a two-disc soundtrack CD including five vocal songs and reprint of the film produced by Famitsu “Akiba Travel Official Complete Guide ”featuring defined images and so on since the development of the original game.

Story
The vampire creatures known as “Shadow Souls” are considered an urban legend, but in fact they exist and invade the city in modern Akihabara.
While in Akihabara at night, the protagonist is suddenly attacked and almost killed by a Shadow Soul, but a Shadow Soul girl saves his life.
With this incident as the beginning, the protagonist is drawn into a war between Shadow Souls and humans, and thrown into a life and death battle.
