CAYCE, SC – Ahold Delhaize’s banner, Food Lion, made an exciting announcement about its expansion efforts. The retailer has opened its doors in a new region of the South Carolina market as it continues to build its presence on the East Coast.
According The Lexington Ledger, the new store will be managed by about 75 team members, bringing a new fleet of buy-side leaders to the sector. This place was part of Food Lion’s purchase of 62 BI-LO / Harveys supermarkets, which we reported in November 2020.
Freshly processed fruits and vegetables, as well as prepared meals, are two categories that Food Lion is leading in its new location. The news source added that the retailer will expand its production department by partnership with WP Rawl Farms for the first time.
