TUCSON (KVOA) – A coatimundi is wanted after showing signs of aggression in the Sabino Canyon recreation area on Thursday.
According to officials from the Arizona Department of Hunting and Fishing, three hikers found the coati near Sabino Dam and the Cactus Picnic Area on Thursday.
AZGFD said that two of them made physical contact with the aggressive animal.
Authorities believe the coati is used to people and was probably fed illegally.
The department reminds residents that coatis are predators and can be potentially dangerous.
