Age of Ultron can confirm White Vision’s true identity

At the end of the eighth episode of WandaVision, it looked like SWORD brought Vision back, but the colors indicate that this is a different robot.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episode 8, “Previously On,” streaming now on Disney +.

The eighth episode of WandaVision ended with a big fan favorite moment in the comics, when SWORD unveiled its new weapon; a ghostly white vision, reconstructed using remnants of Wanda’s hexagonal powers, stolen thanks to the spy drone that passed through the magical barrier of Westview.

The White Vision comes from West Coast Avengers comics, where the US government broke and erased the Vision. When the Avengers reassembled him, they didn’t have brain waves available to give him emotions and empathy. This version can also function as the Anti-Vision of another Earth that switched bodies with White Vision to infiltrate the Avengers, so WandaVision can show a Vision vs. fight Vision in the final episode. However, some clues indicate that something else is happening here, and this new White Vision may not even be Vision – it may be Ultron himself.

The colors of the “soul” of each robot have always been different from each other. The view is yellowish-orange, thanks to the Stone of the Mind that gave it life. The White Vision that SWORD Director Tyler Hayward put together has a bluish hue that has made this Vision a ghostly white, meaning it can be more than just a loving tribute to the classic West Coast Avengers synthetic version. This could all come back to Avengers: Age of Ultron and the battle between JARVIS and Ultron.

Before Vision was a synthetic who worked with the Avengers, he was the AI Tony Stark used to do everything, basically acting as Stark’s computer assistant. At the Ultron era, the titular villain went online for the first time. When JARVIS greeted him, Ultron attacked and the two had a massive cyber fight. This fight was shown inside the computer network, with JARVIS represented by the yellow-orange colors and Ultron represented by the blue-white colors. The fight then moved out of the computer system, with Ultron attacking and finally taking over, destroying JARVIS and becoming conscious.

Since the colors of Ultron and Vision are already established, WandaVision may have already taken off his hat with what fans can expect at the end of the Disney + series season. Since the SWORD Vision matches the colors of the robotic villain, he may well end up being an Ultron.

Since James Spader is set to be on the show, it seems even more likely that Ultron will appear. With the colors aligned WandaVision, it would be no surprise to see the two beings created by Stark fight against each other in the final rematch of the MCU’s most powerful robots.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn like Agnes. New episodes air on Fridays on Disney +.
