AEW will experience his first Sunday pay-per-view, while Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Revolution will be moved to Sunday, March 7.
The company has not yet formally announced the date.
Revolution was initially scheduled for Saturday, February 27 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, but AEW did not want to go face to face with boxing star Canelo Alvarez’s next fight on PPV. Meltzer said that Saturday, March 6 was also considered, but they did not want to go face to face with the main card of UFC 259’s third championship, starring middleweight champion Israel Adesanya against light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.
Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter last week that the date was being changed.
So far, only one fight has been announced, as WCW legend Sting will join TNT champion Darby Allin against Team Taz’s Ricky Starks and Brian Cage in a street fight. More are expected to be announced after the February 3 edition of Dynamite’s Beach Break.
