AEW Fallout: More tributes to Brodie Lee, Tony Khan buying music rights, more!

AEW Dynamite (December 30, 2020) was all about celebrating Brodie Lee’s life. Fallout includes more tribute videos, Tony Khan making a magnificent gesture when buying musical rights, among other goodies.

Dynamite presented several personal tributes throughout. AEW posted some additional taxes. Frankie Kazarian, Dustin Rhodes, Jerry Lynn and Christopher Daniels shared tales that illustrate Brodie’s genuine care for his fellow fighters. In particular, Kaz was played when Brodie broke the second string and thought about warning Kaz for his safety.

Wardlow talked about Brodie being a perfect example of how the scariest men in professional wrestling are usually the kindest. Wardlow also shared how much Brodie enjoyed winning the TNT championship.

In the post-show with Tony Schiavone (here), Lance Archer, Cody Rhodes, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Jess Palombo and Anna Jay shared stories about Brodie. Cody told a story about how Brodie used to joke about buying lunch for the boys when it was actually a buffet.

To follow Cody’s story, Brodie’s photo of eating Zaxby’s was shared. You may have to click on the tweet itself to see Brodie’s comic expression.

Dynamite concluded with an excellent video montage for Brodie with the melody of “Ol ”55,” by Tom Waits.

In a very nice gesture, Tony Khan bought the music rights so that the tribute would last forever.

Let’s close with the AEW Dark line up. Tuesday’s show is coming up with 16 competitions. Frankie Kazarian vs. Griff Garrison vs. Angelico vs. Darius Martin is the main event. All respective brand partners will be on the ring side.

Three other matches caught my eye. Fenix against Aaron Solow must be rocking. A fighter will win his first victory at Fuego del Sol against Danny Limelight. It is possible that Fuego could finally hit a DDT tornado for victory (a recurring gag on Sammy Guevara’s vlog), however, it is more likely that the Limelight series of fun games won him a promotion to the payout window. For NWA fans, Ashley Vox will fight Thunder Rosa.
