AEW Dynamite remains with less than 1 million viewers

Week 73 of Wednesday Night War saw AEW Dynamite defeat WWE NXT in ratings and ratings.

On Wednesday, the home edition of Dynamite’s Live Revolution drew 934,000 viewers on TNT, surpassing the 692,000 viewers obtained by the NXT live show on the USA Network by 35%, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.

AEW ranked # 6 on Cable Top 150 for the 18-49 demo, while NXT ranked # 19. AEW ranked # 58 in total audience, while NXT ranked # 69.

Last week’s Dynamite program attracted 831,000 viewers and placed 5th in Cable Top 150 and 60th in audience. Last week’s NXT program drew 734,000 viewers and ranked 24th on Cable Top 150 and 66th in audience.

AEW obtained a rating of 0.33 in the 18-49 demographic group, beating the 0.20 scored by NXT in the same demonstration by 83% this week. Last week’s AEW program scored 0.35, while the NXT episode scored 0.18 in that demographic.

AEW’s audience rose 12.4% this week, but fell 5.7% in the main 18-49 demo rating. This was Dynamite’s best audience of the year and the third best rating 18-49 of the year. AEW’s audience increased 3.1% from the same week in 2020, but fell 5.71% in the main demonstration of the same week last year.

NXT’s audience fell 5.7% this week, while the rating for the main demo rose 11.1%. This was the fourth best NXT audience of the year and the second best demonstration rating of the year. This week’s NXT audience fell 3.6% from the same week in 2020, while the main demo’s rating fell 13% from the same week in 2020.

On a related note, the AEW special “Countdown to Revolution” that aired at 10 pm on TNT after Dynamite went off the air attracted 347,000 viewers. The program ranked 51st on the Cable Top 150, with a rating of 0.12 in the 18- to 49-year-old demographic.

The MTV Challenge led the night in the 18-49 demographics on Cable Top 150 with a rating of 0.53, attracting just 887,000 viewers. Rachel Maddow Show, from MSNBC, led the night in an audience with 3,483 million viewers, ranking 16th in the Cable Top 150 with a rating of 0.20 in the main demo.

The SEAL Team at CBS led the night on the TV network in audience with an average of 4,162 million viewers. The Goldbergs at ABC ranked first in the 18-49 demographic group with a rating of 0.60.
