AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash Night 1 Tops WWE NXT New Year’s Evil In Viewership

Week 64 (we are not including last week in the competition due to the Brodie Lee tribute show) Wednesday Night War reportedly saw AEW Dynamite defeat the WWE NXT in views and ratings.

Wednesday’s Smash Night, 1 edition of Dynamite reportedly attracted 662,000 viewers (-32% from last week) on TNT, with a rating of 0.25 (-37.5%) in the 18-49 demographic range.

The numbers are lower than last week’s edition of Dynamite’s Brodie Lee Celebration of Life, which drew 977,000 viewers with a rating of 0.40 in the main demographic group.

New Year’s Wednesday evil edition of NXT reportedly attracted 641,000 viewers (+ 9.4%) on the US network, with a rating of 0.16 (+ 33.3%) in the 18-49 demographic range.

The numbers are above last week’s program, which drew 586,000 viewers with a rating of 0.12 in the 18-49 main demo.

Cable news channels have certainly impacted both AEW and NXT last night due to coverage of disturbances and precipitation in Washington, DC
