A Chinese woman earned more than a daughter-in-law at her son’s wedding last month – when she discovered that the bride was actually her biological son.
The woman first noticed at the March 31 wedding that her son’s bride had a distinct birthmark on one hand – just like the child she gave up for adoption years ago, the Oriental Daily reported.
The stunned woman turned to the bride’s parents and asked, “Did you happen to adopt your daughter?” Said the vehicle.
The bride’s parents said yes – revealing a secret they had hidden from everyone for more than 20 years: They found their daughter by the side of the road.
Tears and hugs followed everywhere at the wedding in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
The ceremony was authorized – although the biological mother of the bride was also the mother of the groom.
That’s because the groom’s mother actually adopted her son as a baby after giving up on her daughter, so the loving couple has no biological relationship.
