ADHS expects to make more than 80,000 vaccine appointments available at 11am on Friday

The Arizona Department of Health Services is expected to make more than 80,000 consultations for COVID-19 vaccines available to Arizonans at 11 am on Friday.

ADHS said it will make nearly 83,000 available consultations at state-administered vaccination sites across Arizona, which includes the new state-supported vaccination site at the Yuma Convention Center in Yuma County.

Here are some tips for anyone who wants to schedule a vaccine appointment:

  • Create an ADHS account and fill out your profile with your information in advance before scheduling your appointment
    • The ADHS website will ask for contact information and insurance information when filling in your profile information
  • Vaccination sites that administer the Pfizer vaccine, including those administered by the state, will be able to vaccinate Arizonans aged 16 and over
  • For those without access to the Internet or access to a computer, ADHS says people should call 1-844-542-8201 for assistance

Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, supplied to counties, are approved for ages 18 and up and are not currently being provided at government-administered vaccination sites.
Authorities say that both in Maricopa County and in state-run places, 16- and 17-year-olds will need parental consent to receive the vaccine.

ADHS said it is also opening appointments at 11am every Friday for the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, the Arizona State University’s Phoenix Municipal Stadium in Tempe, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, the University of Arizona in Tucson and, from this Friday, Yuma Civic Center in Yuma County.

As of Friday, March 26, more than three million doses have been administered in Arizona, with more than one million fully vaccinated Arizonans.
